In Deuteronomy 3: 28, God tells Moses to give Joshua charge over the tribes of Israel and that He would lead the people to take the land. His words are lost to us too often today ” Encourage him” .
There is a dearth today in the church today of encouragers. We are good at nit-picking, fault finding and “concern” for others errors, but little for positive , uplifting messages of kindness and love. I think we have adopted the creeds and doctrines of the faith, and left the spirit of the message behind. In our zeal to be protectors of the standards of the faith, we become the “enforcers” and go about create guilt and despair rather than hope and joy…. Wednesday prayer meeting.
