Isaiah 6:1 ” .. I Saw the LORD…”

February 16th, 2017|

From Sunday’s message:

It is a matter of History’s records that makes plain the fact that men seek after God in times of trouble , and become lazy spiritually in prosperity. It seems that it should be opposite, but there is a reason. Tragedies reset our priorities and often give us a deeper meaning to our existence and purpose. Every great revival of spiritual awakening happened against a back drop of national crisis or out of the cry of poverty and affliction.
We are a three part being . Body-soul-spirit; and in that order .We are naturally aware of the next one in the order only when the previous one is faltering or in crisis. God’s goal is that we see with our spiritual eyes, but we remain distracted by out “veil 0f sight”…. May our eyes be opened to the heart and plan of Jesus  in our lives.     Brother Warren

“To Everything There Is a Season and a Purpose..”

January 8th, 2017|

2016 has surely had it’s mix of seasons, but may we reflect on the purpose in Jesus Christ? Are we made softer by the rain? .. or have we allowed the storms to harden the soil of our hearts? Only faith can open the heart and allow us to grow and be made better through life’s seasons. Faith opens the curtains and lets in the light of morning . Faith puts a rainbow in the cloud and lets the sunrays line our dampened skies. Yet faith cannot grow unless the heart somehow finds a place of quiet rest.

Receive ye the Holy Ghost John 20:22

October 30th, 2016|

The Holy Ghost is the third Member of the Holy Trinity- 4 times in the New Testament ( KJV) called the Holy Spirit; 90 times( KJV) called the Holy Ghost.Likely the reason for the different denotations is that the one is His name , the other His wonderful influences in the hearts and lives of His children. AS His born again sons and daughters, our hearts are His garden. He plants there His sweet virtues- Galatians 5:22,23 and cultivates them with urges to our souls and circumstances that will prod us to make decisions for good against evil ( Hebrews 5:14). Sin binds His hand and we must repent and believe daily as He speaks in order to have fellowship with Him.May we listen for Him and respond to His voice as He speaks through our meditation on His Word.
