Two equals in wealth, two relatives, same opportunities. One pitched his tent toward Sodom, the other toward Canaan and his God. In Genesis 13, both Abram and Lot decide their futures. Abram was blessed, Lot was cursed. What was the difference? Each one’s purpose! Lot intended to be rich, Abram to be faithful! Cf. I Tim. 6:9
