Rebecca’s Curse

June 11th, 2012|

The curse that Rebecca incurred in Genesis 27 is to of all of us who act hastily without seeking the Lord in our difficulties with disagreeable authorities. Isaac was hardly the  spiritual man he ought to have been, but her response divided her own home and society further. Had Rebecca acted in faith, Jacob might have seen God in action and not
gained the wrath of his older brother. Either way, God’s will was done, but  the deceit used  unleashed a mistrust and hatred that lasted years after. May the Lord give us patience and faith and honesty in our relationships. ” When we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship one with another. ..” I John 1:7

May the Lord bless you as you serve Him. We looked at Daniel 11:1 on Wednesday where Daniel did not hesitate to serve the king faithfully,  even though a favourite son of heaven . I think that we forget that even our lowliest tasks, when done to the glory of God, are beautiful to Him. Daniel did not realize that within 2 years, his influences toward the king would  change all the history of the Jewish people and begin again the work in Jerusalem ;  something that all the armed force the nations might have brought could not have done. Be faithful in small things. Luke 16:10

Purpose in ministry

April 11th, 2012|

How important our attitudes are in serving the Lord is seen in IPeter 4:11 ..”if any man minister, let him do it… that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to Whom be praise…” We get caught up on ourselves, our feelings, our charm, our importance…and forget the real purpose: Jesus Christ and His glory. Ours is bankrupt, and
and unrewarding .When it gets exposed,it is despised because it is just old human pride. May God forgive us an deliver us. Have faith in God!
