Stay Close
It seems that the first sin was that of Lucifer’s in Isaiah 14 : 12-14 where pride and selfish ambition blinded him to his fatal error of challenging Almighty God. I believe that humility
is the natural response to being close to someone far greater than oneself. If we keep a close relationship with Jesus Christ by keeping in His Word, humility reigns. How can we measure up to such Wonderful Perfection? If we allow sin to distance us from God, pride is the natural response of the heart. Lucifer must have strayed away . Stay close to the Lord. Pride just seems so unsensible there.
IPeter 5: 5b. “… God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace to the humble.”
Keep your heart
Proverbs 4:23 says to keep it “with all diligence” Why? ” out of it are the issues of life” , that is, the basis on which you will make your important life decisions. Who you like and what
you desire will be who you will become. Are you happy with that ? Should you make some changes? Then what are you waiting for? Seek the Lord right now while you can.
