Ressurection means “moving on”
Jesus Christ is in the business of building His church. It is characteristic of members that we do not see what God is doing until later. It takes faith to see and be involved in what God is doing right now. It is often
unpopular and held in derision by many “good Christians” . Isaiah once asked the same question ” Lord, who hath believed our report..” Isaih 53:1. If you are serving the Lord and feeling a bit unrecognized, please join the club.. so were the prophets .. and so was Jesus -see John 6:66. Did you see the “666” ( number of mans’ pride) ? Coincidental huh?
The Lord is my Shepherd
In reading this passage ,we are not shielded from sorrow , loss, or pain. We are however sheltered from being hurt by them. Notice that there is a rod, there is death, there are
enemies, but still ” I will fear no evil” . Surely He is the Good Shepherd Who gave His life to keep His sheep safe. John 10:11
Keep your spirits up.
Proverbs 17:22 says ” A merry heart doeth good like a medicine, but a broken spirit drieth the bones.” Sunlight tends to keep our spirits a bit higher. Solomon said in Ecclesiastes 11:7 “Truly the light is sweet and a pleasant thing it is for the eyes to behold the sun”. January and February actually have longer days than December, but we get gloomy in them because
there really are no festivities to keep us occupied. Stay in fellowship. Make good friends and keep them . Most important, stay in fellowship with the Lord. His Spirit will keep yours.
